Christmas in July giveaway

My 4 year old nephew is unable to redeem his free gift. I tried too in various areas--in his dorm room, in the commons, and down by the dock. After I click on the item, it says accept. I hit accept and it says failure to redeem.
Help please. Thank you.

Ahoy!

Try logging out to the character select screen then logging back in. Then try to redeem the gift. Sorry for the inconvenience!
