in case an account gets hacked (someone somehow finds out what your password is), KI can lock the account to prevent anyone from logging in, preventing further damage (if any). im not really familiar with locked accounts, but i think you type in your email and change your password to get it unlocked

Hi! Repeatedly entering the wrong password will lock an account.
