Hey there! This is my first message boards post, and I am hoping to shred some insight on my knowledge about pet pedigree.

What is Pedigree?:

Pedigree is the number with the DNA symbol next to your pet's name. The higher the pedigree, the rarer the pet and vice versa.

Pedigree Value Table:

Okay, most people want either a boosted pedigree or the irresistible challenge of getting the lowest pedigree pet. As Calamity PixieShade explained earlier (thanks for sharing this!) Pedigree works like this:

Common: 1 pedigree
Uncommon: 10 pedigree
Rare: 20 pedigree
Ultra-rare: 30 pedigree
Epic:40 pedigree

The Maximum Pedigree:

Doing some research, I was able to find out that there is 11 Epic powers, but you can only utilize 10 in a pet. That is equivalent to 400 pedigree from powers. Now there is no epic talents currently known to the game, but we might see some from the new pets in the July 2015 update :). There is 19 currently known Ultra-Rare Talents, so getting those Ultra-Rare Talents should be no problem with a little bit of effort :). So, In order to create the maximum pedigree, 700, you will have to have all Epic powers and all Ultra-Rare talents. If you multiply this Talents should equal 300 pedigree, and Powers should equal 400. This means the maximum pedigree possible is 700.

Let me start off by saying that if you can do this, kudos to you! The minimum pedigree is 20, minuscule to the maximum pedigree.There are 22 Common Talents and 12 Common Powers, a total of 34 common abilities. If you think about it, that's quiet a few :), that's why they are Common.
