Pet drops

I was just wondering if pet could be as drops from the Skyway, like I know in Tradewinds skyway, there's several creatures you can fight, like the Jellyfish, Doomtooth, Flying Fish and etc. Could those possibly be as pet drops?

Welcome to the message boards, Brianna!

If I'm thinking correctly, you're wondering if they should be pets or somewhere near that. Well, there's a flying fish companion if you complete a certain quest and witchdoctors get it for free, and the flying fish is not a pet. Doomtooth is part of a buccaneer quest (if I remember correctly) and jellyfish are just there for quests and other reasons. None of these are pets and probably wouldn't be since it would be too easy to get the pets from them (they are pretty easy to kill at a high level and would be easy to farm)

Hi, Clever Brianna, and welcome to the message boards!

If you mean do any of the fish, stormsharks, were-manta rays, etc. we fight in the skyways potentially drop a pet, I don't think so - I have never seen it. Indeed, the only pet drops I ever remember as loot from fights was when I had defeated a boss.

Some of those critters might wind up working for you in a different capacity, though, and that's all I'm sayin' about that.

It would be interesting if the beast masters could train wild animals to join the crew. I remember one game where they could do that...

maybe they could have a "summon animal" power that summons a random animal as an ally?
