Congratulations Anne for your long awaited promotion to Captain
Your famous intelligence, master of Fan Fiction, Director of well run roleplays and delightful sense of humor has enriched us all. Your hard work is well appreciated. Between you and CDE Winter, we will never lack for knowledge and between you and Sam we will never stop laughing. Well done Anne, I am eagerly looking forward to what you are gonna come up with on your way to Commodore.

The friendly and stimulating message boards; the kind, helpful and often funny KI staff; newly venturing into fan fiction this year, it's all been a 'brave new world' for me! (And I mean that in the way Miranda exclaims with freshness and hope in The Tempest, rather than the dystopian novel of the name, of course!)

And 'Sam' keeps me laughing too, I can assure you! (one of his many charms )

Haha, thanks Xavier! But I do really try to be virtuous, despite being a pirate! (It's a main theme in my fan fiction about Anne, I hope. Of course she can be daft, over-confident, and definitely imprudent. But that's all part of the fun. She wouldn't be interesting if she was perfect, after all) Sort of like Robin Hood: he is brave, honorable (he only steals from those who can bear the loss), courteous even to enemies, generous, risking his life to help the innocent... all pretty virtuous, don't you agree?

Hmm... *chin rub* yes true true, you ladies may have virtuous pirates but Xavier definitely isnt virtuous!! XD he's a black shot!

*note* Black Shot - a person who fights crime and rarely but notably innocent the too in order to get what they want (such as a portion of the money the bandit stole)

I'm having to work extra hard to get all these treats ready for your lovely congratulations, Chrissy. XD Your order of lemon tea cakes with rose icing are here with some delightful free additions of chocolate truffles for Madame Anne. Sheesh, Chrissy, I'm running out of baking supplies! XD

x Chrissy sends out half her fleet with Bonne Anne in charge, as she is the best at bartering, to procure all baking supplies from armada warehouses that have stolen them for taxes. Anne & crew quickly dispatch any armada guards and then returns all supplies to their owners then barters with them for a share and fills the fleet ships with raw materials from the grateful chefs who now have their supplies returned to them. The fleet set's sail for the Bakeries of the Highlander Fox to unload on Emma's docks, complements of the Armada. x

Shrewsbury cakes are nice cookies usually rich in butter and sprinkled with sugar... 'little cakes' being the term for what we call cookies today. I think they are given that name from a place name, especially a vacation spot, like the very similar 'Bath Cakes' which are named for the resort town of Bath rather than cookies you eat while in the tub... but that was probably a lot more than you wanted to know, wasn't it?
