When you use the X or Ctrl-Q, it works with wizard101, but don't try it with pirate 101, or you have to reinstall

Hmm. You shouldn't have to reinstall the game from pressing X or Control+Q. You will want to contact support@pirate101.com if this problem persists. They might be able to track down the problem on your computer that is causing this to happen.
