HELP! Please. Temple of the North, Ashen Dock

I have to my knowledge finished all tasks, with the sole exception of the Ashen Dock, North Wind Knife. I cannot get past the North Wind Gate. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Note: I have and always do all the side tasks, have the badges necessary after preliminary searches.

You need the main story line quest, do you have Monkey King? He goes there with you.
