Beating Chumba Wumba

The first time I went to the Volcano - Waponi Wu - Flotsam Skyway - Skull Island, I beat Chumba Wumba 2 times before activating the idols. However, when I checked the Tubthumper Badge, it says I only beat him once. Why is this? I sent a picture of the Badges and included my Captain's log for verification to Support.

Hi! This is as designed. The additional defeats of Chumba Wumba in the same combat no longer count toward the badge's total count.
