Eggs At Houses?

I was able to place unhatched pet eggs at my house. Is this normal or a bug? It's actually pretty neat seeing eggs at my house though lol. I just wish I could equip them too :(

Since it is not a pet yet, I don't think you should be able to equip an egg. You should be able to pick it back up just like a normal housing item.
