Flat Wooden Platform - Housing Item

I've had this housing item for awhile now and can't place it anywhere. When I try I get the error message "You can't place any more of that kind of item here." I've tried at Rake's Lagoon, Volcano Island and Castaway's Refuge both inside and outside. Sorry if this is a duplicate, I searched and didn't find a topic for it.

I've been having this issue too! I simply gave up and sold it since it wouldn't fit.

I have been wondering, is it a floor item like a rug or something else? And how big is it?
