Selecting Pirate in a Ship Hand to Hand Battle

When I select pirate in the middle of a hand to hand battle on a ship and I come back, it sends me to a life fountain which I don't like. I liked the old ways where I pop up where I last was and I am able to either sail to a nearby skyway or finish off the ship. I really did not like being forced to a life fountain where I had to come ALL WAY back to where I was.
