Sup and hi, i just got a new house, but i cant place anything on the walls. At all. .is it supposed to be like that?

I'm having the same problem with the swashbuckler house, When I first bought it on Thursday, I was able to place wall hangings, but then on Friday I tried to place some new hangings on the walls and was unable to do so.
