Ideas for new buffing powers

I really enjoy the Juju line of powers and I got to thinking wouldn't it be nice if we had a Reverse Chicken...er, I mean Juju, kind of power?

As we all know, the Juju line of powers will provide a buff to the main attribute/stats (class dependent) of all team members adjacent to your pirate. This is great for offensive attacking power, especially against different class enemies and also offers a little bit of defensive help, against same class enemies. What if we had a power that worked like Juju, but instead buffed the non-primary attributes/stats of team members adjacent to our pirates. So, when used a Buccaneer member would receive a boost to both Will & Agility, Swashbucklers would get boosts to Will and Strength, Witchdoctors receive a boost to Agility and Strength....and so on and so on. So, essentially in consecutive turns you could use Great Juju to boost your team's offensive effectiveness, followed by this other power-- let's call it Great Ujuj for now-- that would provide decent defensive protection against various classes on the board. A power like this would help protect various members of your crew from taking possible Critical Hits from enemies, by closing the gap in the enemies' primary stat advantage. Granted it may not help if a certain class of enemy isn't present on the board, but there are almost always at least 2 class of enemies, with different primary attributes. So, everyone on your team should benefit from buffing at least one of the 2 non-primary attributes that they would receive the buff for. Maybe a power like this could be called Solace of Aegis. (Maybe it could be found on an outfit called Aegis of Athena?)

Also, maybe we could use a 9 tile AoE power that debuffs all of the adjacent enemies' prime stats, kind of like a backwards chicken...er, once again I mean Juju. So you can hit that concentrated mob in the 1st turn, with this unlimited range primary stat debuff and then use your own Great Juju in the next round, further increasing your team's chances for receiving Critical Hits and higher damage numbers. Maybe a power like this could be called, Havoc's Hindrance.

These ideas of powers may not even be 'doable' but I thought they would be powers that could possibly be quite beneficial to our pirates and crews, especially in PvE.

I like that you included a debuff, because witchdoctors are supposed to be pirates who cheat and put hexes on enemies, but only 7 out of 33 spells are debuffs so far.

Yeah, I agree and think that attacking powers and team buffs are great and all, but adding some more strategic debuffs to the battles really would add to the thinking and overall effectiveness of your crew. Debuffs by themselves aren't as tantalizing and enticing as buffs and cool powers, but some of the best powers in the games take advantage of some sort of enemy debuff. I think it would compliment our already awesome small area AoE powers/with attached debuffs, single target debuff attacking powers and our straight out buffs, if we had some super useful, full-on debuffs, in the form of enemy-targeted AoE's. Something that would all around help our crews defensively and provide a change of pace from the 'ok, here's your Strength Buccaneer, here's your Agility Swash and Musket'...etc. By adding some buffs and debuffs that can help us out and also add a little variety to the mix, may be a fun addition. Most of the battle focus is on primary stats and buffing them, so it would be neat to have a portion of the focus addressed to non-primary stats, in order to still boost our crews' effectiveness in battle.

I love boosting my crew in what they perform best at, and I enjoy going on the offensive...but I also would really welcome more enemy debuffing powers that coincide with more defensive strategies for our crew. So much involving battle preparations and performance is affected by defensive minded strategies and it's not just about going on the offensive. I'd welcome any powers, buffs or debuffs that focus on that defensive mindset...I think it would only add to the already amazing, battle fun.
