Mounts are crowns only?

hello everyone!

I was just curious as to why P101 mounts are crowns only (the permanent ones of course)

I used to play Wizard 101 a while back now, and I remember you could buy the mounts for 8,000 crowns or around 90K each with gold....which was awesome so we could get mounts even if we weren't crowns players, so I am just wondering why pirates aren't allowed to buy mounts with gold?

even if the prices are bumped up to around 110K for a mount, it would still be worth it since people can always earn gold

but just a thought...
