Shadow Step Teleport Animation

Hey, so there was a video a few years ago about some kids make a wish to kings isle which I must say was a fantastic video.
In that video the child is shown things the devs are working on and one developer shows the child a new teleport animation eg. teleporting to skull island using the button in the bottom left
I personally think this is a cool idea could this ever happen?
