Team Order Notifications

I just had this idea and would have posted it in Avery's "Idea Thread" but that thing is so HUGE! LOL

I have also posted it here on P101C to get some feedback from some of the members who for whatever reason cannot post their thoughts here on the Official Boards.

I've been playin' on all class o' me pirates. Mostly me Buccaneer, Witchdoctor, Swashbuckler, & Musketeer. Sometimes I play alone, other times with a matey (or two or three), an' sometimes I be helpin' someone or a random player joins me sigil battles.

On the occasions when I be 'n battle (from the start) with another pirate(s) an' their crew, I think it would be a very feasible idea t' have some notificatin' t' let us all know the order the teams will go 'n. This could be done on the port or starboard side o' the battleboard. For example:

Team One: One-Eyed Jack (Witchdoctor)
Team Two: Blind Mew (Privateer)
Team Three: Ratbeard (Buccaneer)

This would allow the WD t' know that the bilge rat might want t' wait until next turn t' use Great Juju an' the other teams could positin' their crewmembers 'n place t' benefit from it. Or perhaps Ratbeard be usin' Whale power an' and Blind Mew wants the powder monkey's Egg Shen down there t' get the Strength bonuses.

I think it would also be beneficial especially 'n choosin' yer' targets. Because there are some times ye place yer' crew 'n place strategically t' specifically take advantage o' their class, powers, epics, etc an' they don't get t' hit because ye thought the other team(s) was goin' first an' yours got stopped by Hold the Line.

There are plenty more scenarios that can be spoken fer where a team order be really more o' a necessity than a luxury.

As far as I know there is already a color code that identifies team order. It goes 1)dark blue 2)light blue 3)dark green 4)light green. Look at the background of your pieces on the battleboard and you will see these colors which will give you an indication of team order.

Us powder monkeys get Wing Chun, not Egg Shen.

What "Us Powder monkey"?

Privateers get Egg Shen, Musketeers get Wing Chun. To continue Witchdoctors get Kan Po, Buccaneers get Kobe, and Swashbucklers get Subodai.

In my example of teams I was using a WD(Kan Po), Priv(Egg Shen), and Bucc(Kobe):

My comments in response to someone else who commented the same thing on the thread I created on P101C about this:

"I didn't know the colors stood fer any particular order. I just thought they were there so ye could know which companion was yours. Especially when ye had multiple Bonnie Anne, Ratbeard, El Toro, etc. I be includin' a screenshot o' a battle I be 'n atm where I have me Bonnie Anne an' the other player has the powder monkey's. Neither one has our name t' indicate whose it be. So the colored background be the only thin' (and their uniform colors) t' distinguish them apart.

However me idea be still a feasible one even if the color coded teams are 'n place. Because I know some people who are color blind an' play the game. Their only optin' be t' have somethin' like this 'n place because the colors are o' no use t' them."

Now I'm not color-blind (Color Vision Deficiency) but I know a few people who are. I had also looked up Color Blindness Test & Facts to see what it's like to "see" through what they view. From what I read and saw the color wheel they see is not made up of the colors that our units are.

Also you just said that the team colors go: 1)dark blue 2)light blue 3)dark green 4)light green.

But I just now looked it up in the "Help" section and that doesn't match their order of: (blue, if you’re the first or only player in the combat) (Player 2 is teal, Player 3 is green, and Player 4 is dark green)

Like I said above, I wasn't aware of the color patterns so I thought a listing on the side (either one cause they are both blank spaces) could have worked. It was just an idea.
