Buccaneer Companion Suggestions?

Ahoy there,

I recently, (well not that recently,) started a buccaneer, and I need some feedback on what companions to use. After almost every battle one of my companions dies.

hello there Duck, as a buccaneer myself i find ratbeard, barnabus and peter quint are all very good companions to have, with barnabus notably being extremely tanky if you invest in armored and tough ranks on him

I wouldn't worry about one companion being defeated after a battle. We have a large crew for a reason, so use them - learn about what they can and cannot do, and what strategy will work for the next battle.
