well, if yes, some people come up with nicknames for their companions
examples
I own a MAX pt, sb, and mk

Li she, inoshishi chief -- i call him lee
Da Lan, amber horde crossbowman-- i named him dylan
private mills grenadier sergeant-- i named him cheater mills for all the constant EPICS he did my first few battles with him
Da Wa, inoshishi necromancer--named him Mr. Never miss (since he usually doesn't anyway lol)
