Congratulations MiLady De Winter for achieving Bosun Rank .
Our beloved Scarlet, veteran of the roleplays & master of information to the inquiring pirate minds, while celebrating her Thanksgiving has also managed a new promotion. Your imaginative and intelligent posts (You and Anne are in a genus class all by yourselves ) have delighted and taught us well. Such a prolific Fan Fiction writer and equally incredible writer right here in the message board family has well earned her promotions.
x Raises a tankard of yum in Bosun Scarlet's honor. x
x Orders a bakers dozen of baskets of Bosun Brownies from the bakeries of the Highlander Fox for this party will assuredly be huge. x

You are such a wonderful member of zis message board family, Chrissy, I am always impressed wiz 'ow much you congratulate people, and ze way you really keep an eye on promotions. Sometimes I feel somewhat like ze "oft forgotten middle sister" of ze message board family, but I know my big sister Chrissy always 'as 'er eye out. (Not that you literally 'ave your eye out, zat would be gross and probably painful!). I zink it's awesome zat you consider me to be in ze same class as Anne. (I suppose we really are in the same class )

zank you again for ordering ze baskets of Brownies (I 'ope zat was a baker's dozen right? ozerwise I seem to 'ave an extra basket 'ere, I'm not sure if I should touch zem or not).

When exactly are we 'aving this party, it seems to 'ave been in ze planning stages for an aweful long time.

Yay, Scarlet! It is so much fun posting with you. Not just because of your scientific knowledge and imagination (which is lots of fun) but your excellent knowledge of pre-20th C. literature! You are the only person I know besides myself who has actually read Mysteries of Udolpho! That is pretty cool all in itself.

Oui, Milady de Winter! You deserve all the congratulations you're being given. It's sad that you feel forgotten.. It must be fixed! Mademoiselles, mouseiurs (I probably did not spell that accurately), a toast to Milady Clarice de Winter, or Cdewinter as we know her!! -passes Scarlet a congratulatory creme brûlée paired with a platter of chocolate filled croissants and eclairs-

Ciao- I mean, au revoir!

Any extra brownies are yours to enjoy. A baker's dozen does not surprise me one bit knowing the sweetness and generosity of our dear Emma. I can send over the working model freezer Gracie made for the ice cream if you wish to freeze those brownies for later. As one who had a wedding cake made entirely made of brownies and of course saved the top for the first anniversary using a seal-a-meal, brownies freeze quite well.
As long as your follow her shut down instructions to the letter you should be quite safe and your brownies will stay frozen.

Oh my goodness, that beats my brownies idea and leaves it in the coco dust. I am positively drooling. Leave it to the master (mistress?) Our Emma to delight our virtual taste buds with ideas way better than I can.

All right, let me try and find three of these so called musketeers. No, no, buccaneers just won't do. All righty, here we go, Bonnie Anne, Louis LeBisque, and anyone else? Anyone at all? Nobody? Ok, Bob the Musketeer, you can join us for this.

Un, deux, trois musketeers to wish you well.

Congrats Milady!

Why would you ever play computer games while it is snowing? Snow is my favourite form of precipitation. Which is a very good think since I get a lot of it where I live.

Really some days during winter, I head out in the morning, shovel my driveway, head back inside, grab breakfast, head back out shovel my driveway again, leave for work, go home for lunch, (shovel my driveway) leave for work again (shovel my driveway) get back home in the evening (shovel my driveway) wake up the next morning (shovel my driveway), and then start shovel raiding my elderly neighbour's driveway. By the way a shovel raid is when I sneak over to my elderly neighbour's house and shovel their driveway in the early morning before they wake up so that they don't actually know I'm the person doing it.

Chocolate...filled...croissants!!! Oooo!

[Last year I went to Quebec for the National Dance Festival... yes, American dance festival, held in Canada, but there you are... and at the local grocery store bakery I discovered the chocolate filled buns that are popular there (I don't know what they are called, but I bet Scarlet does). I fast learned why they are so popular!]

Oh that was just delightful. All that shoveling, it is a good thing you do love all that snow. And how sweet of you to shovel in the sly for the elderly neighbors. That doesn't surprise me one bit. I remember a lot of snow in Ohio where I grew up and I loved it. It just seems that at least where I have been living for that past few decades that snow is much more scarce. We did have some last winter, much to my service dog's distaste, lol and I had all those warm childhood memories again of shoveling, snowball fights, snowmen, hot chocolate and an odd one; boiled potatoes. When it was cold, before sending us out to play (Yes parents did that to kids back then along with making us walk to school in the snow, uphill, both ways ) anyway, she would give us a still warm boiled potato from that evenings coming dinner preparations and we would be outside playing, keeping our hands delightfully warm as we slowly munched on the potato that warmed us inside and out. Such wonderful snow memories. Thank you for those triggers MiLady DeWinter.

[Quick post before I leave]
Anne, are you refering to Jos. Louis? A sort of chocolate covered, red velvet cake that has a cream filled centre? My mind is pulling a blank otherwise, I may be able to name the dessert you're referring to if you can give a bit more of a description. I know Jos. Louis has since been accepted into the American market.

x Wipes drool x You guys are making me so hungry, lol. I really hope it is available here and even better available in the tiny, one traffic light sized Kansas towns.
