Dragon kings wish

When we got dragon kings egg he said we could wish for anything, so why didn't we wish to go to el dorado? I don't get it any reasons why? (Besides they had to keep the story going and make it more interesting)

Is that going to come into play later perhaps the dragon king's offspring giving us the favorable winds to get there?

There are limits to wishes. Have you ever watched Dragon Ball?
