Its true! While fighting some Blue Onis in Mooshu, Duck was dying so I healed him and he clicked his feet twice (much like the Duck of Death when he fled to his ship) and adjusted his tie. It is indeed bugged because he doesn't use it after dropping an enemy or at the end of a battle, but he does do it when he's healed. I'm not so sure about Dan Drake, but I'll check it out.
