Did Iago betray me?

Yesterday i had to fight Iago from Valencia. I beat him, but I just dont get it. I remember back then when i was about lvl 15-18 I saw Iago in Valencia and he was good, thats what I remember, but I dont think im right.

You must be thinking of Ridolfo Capoferro not Iago.

Yeah thats Rudolfo Capoferro you rescue from the armada and take to steed isle, then later in the game you fight Iago the duelist on his ship in a whirlywind zone. Both are unicorns so easy to mistake the 2. The difference is Iago uses stabby weapons in the form of 2 identical daggers while Capoferro uses a rapier and dagger mix.
