The decorating community is the most wholesome group of folks around, and simultaneously bring some of the fiercest competition to the table. BOO! Get the cobwebs out of the attic and candy out of the cupboards, because it's time to celebrate Halloween in spooky style! Put your decorating skills to the test in our new Halloween Costume & Decorating Contest! This contest is for both the Wizard101 and Pirate101 communities.

Share your ghoulish bunkhouse creations as instructed below throughout the contest period. You’ll get a chance to win some great prizes, plus receive tons of design tips from your fellow players. We’ll even be featuring contest winners this October 27th on KI Live! Since the show is just before Halloween, we may even have a few of our developers transform into nightmarish creatures for it.

With 60k Crowns, the Spooky Carnival Bundle (W101), and the Hoodo Bundle (P101) up for grabs, this contest is filled to the brim with prizes!

HOW TO ENTER

  • Post on either Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram
  • Include in your post (all items MUST be included):
    • 1-4 screenshots of your decorated bunkhouse with your character in at least one scene
      • At least one screenshot should have the character saying, “Happy Halloween!”
    • Character name (also ensure it’s in the screenshot itself)
    • The theme you chose
    • Hashtag #KingsIsleHalloween
  • NO e-mail submissions, sorry. Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram ONLY.
  • Entering for both Wizard101 and Pirate101 separately is accepted.

 

NOMINATIONS

KingsIsle will review all entries and choose four of the most creative, intricate, and fun bunkhouse designs per theme to nominate. Each theme’s nominations will have a specific day they will be announced sometime between the close of the contest (Oct. 16) and the date of winners (Oct. 27).

Be unique and show us something amazing! The Honorable Mentions will be selected randomly, so be sure to enter even if you don’t consider your stitch interesting, as we’re sure it will be a great stitch regardless.

Keep watch on all social media channels for when the nominations begin!

Winners will be notified within a week after officially being announced on Oct. 28. Winning submissions will be further shared on social media and included in the following month’s newsletter.

After the submission deadline, we will approve the community selected winners and runner-ups and award the following:

Pirate101
  • Grand Ghoul: HooDoo Bundle + 20,000 Crowns
  • Scary Skeletons (3x): Trusty Trunk Mount + 10,000 Crowns
Wizard101
  • Grand Ghoul: Spooky Carnival Bundle + 20,000 Crowns
  • Scary Skeletons (3x): Scare-iot Mount + 10,000 Crowns
5 Honorable Mentions will be randomly selected outside the categories for a 2,500 Crowns prize.

You may submit an entry for both games but you can only win once between them. Winners will be announced on October 27 on KI Live!

 

CAPTURE TIPS

  • Set your PC’s graphics settings to high and ensure the resolution is maxed (preferably 1920x1080 if you have the option).
  • Frame the scene for that “wow factor”. Consider lighting and item location.
  • Feel free to include some friends in the shot for added flair.
  • To remove the UI by pressing Ctrl+G.

 

LET'S CELEBRATE


Join us on Oct. 28 at 4pm CT, just a day after the winners are announced, in the Commons on Greyrose Realm, Area 01 (or beyond 01 if area is full) for a “Stitch Runway”! We’ll be starting from Ambrose Tower.

 

CONTEST RULES


  • Entries must be posted before 11:59 PM US Central time on Sunday, October 16, 2022.
  • Only one entry per player per game will be eligible. All social channels’ entries per game will be combined to be presented in a single nomination group for community voting on Twitter.
  • Entering for both Wizard101 and Pirate101 separately is accepted.
  • Contest entries must be original designs (no screenshotting someone else’s character).
  • Must be unaltered screenshots, no photoshopping or overlays of any kind (use of Photomancy is acceptable and encouraged).
  • If you are under 13 years of age, ask your parents or guardian permission to participate.
