The ship to Marleybone sailed graciously against the skyways and passed through differing lands, such as Mooshu and Aquila before finally reaching Marleybone. At last, the Bonedon district of Marleybone City was reached and we were dropped off at the Queen’s private dock. A young Collie, around the age of 19 or 20 possibly even 21 greeted us and we all bowed in mutual respect towards the Collie.

“Good morning. I take it you are Miss Wicked Lola Nightingale, daughter of Hikaru Nightingale and Sasuke Nightingale?” The Collie asked.

Looking at the Collie, I smiled and nodded before finally speaking. Just as I was about to open my mouth, though, two people stepped out. A tall woman with blonde hair and red eyes and a tall man who looked around the same age with black hair and green eyes stepped out of the palace’s doorway.

“Lola, is that really you? I thought you’d gotten eaten by a sea squid or lost in a storm or blasted by the Armada! Thank the Spiral you’re alive!” The black-haired man said, racing up to me.

“Oh, Sasuke, dear, please be gentle on her. I know we’ve missed her but do you really have to be so rambunctious after we’ve met her for the first time in 17 years? Honestly, dear, is that really necessary?” The blonde woman said.

“Mum, dad. I’ve missed ye guys so, so much. How in the name of the Spiral are you guys even alive? I thought you were blasted by the Armada!” I exclaimed, bursting into a surprised expression.

Suddenly, my face went completely and absolutely blank and my mind numbed a bit and I woke up on a palace sofa.

“Lady Lola, are you all right? It seems as though you passed out from intense shock. I’m surprised you’re awake this early.” A palace servant said.

“What’s all the commotion? Is everyting all right? What happened to Lola?” Old Scratch said, scratching his hair with a bony finger.

“Oh, me apologies for awakening everybody so abruptly. The meeting with Lady Hikaru Nightingale and Lord Sasuke Nightingale and Her Royal Highness, Queen Alyssa Collie is about to begin. Her Royal Highness and His Royal Highness, the King, King Fergus Collie, have called everyone into the Throne Room. I ask that everyone, with the exception of the Sky Snake, as he cannot speak our native tongue to meet in the Throne Room so we can all discuss what happened.” Princess Maya said as she looked at the window.

The skies of Marleybone were grey and dark and a storm was brewing continuously as the rain poured onto the streets of Marleybone City and people carried umbrellas and scampered to get out of the rain like mice being chased off by a cat.

We walked into the hallways of the Palace and stopped at a grand doorway where the young Collie’s mother and father were waiting in the Throne Room. Queen Alyssa held up two fingers on his right paw and beckoned for everyone to come in.

“I now present Her Royal Highness, Queen Alyssa Collie and His Royal Highness, King Fergus Collie the Fourth. Please bow and then kneel.” A palace attendant said.

“Hello, Miss Nightingale and welcome to Marleybone, dear. I heard from our scouts that Miss Hikaru and Mister Sasuke Nightingale were discovered alive but badly wounded two years ago, on a nearby beach. Apparently, dear, they were not killed by the Armada completely as the bullets failed to hit their hearts but however did reach other vital organs. Luckily, your mum and dad had been healed and treated in the Barkingham Palace Hospital Wing and had been healed by some of our best nurses and paramedics. During this time, we told them that you were being cared for by Krokotopian crocodiles and were on the run from the Armada so that you could escape their fate. They heard of your tales as a Witchdoctor and luckily they were relieved that you were still alive.” Queen Alyssa Collie said, smiling warmly.

“Phew, well, that be good that my mum and dad are still alive but as far as my mind’s concerned my job has yet to be done in Puerto Mico. As of yet, I still have unfinished business with Gortez. Can you bring me my galleon, the Exalted Raven and bring an escort ship to see me to the Isle of Doom?” I asked, smiling.

“Of course, dear. I shall send one of my best guardsmen guide you and join you on your journey. Lucy, darling, please come here.” Queen Alyssa Collie said, nodding.

“Yes, milady, what can I do for you? Lucy Sterling at your service. I’ll be joining you on your journey apparently.” Lucy said, smiling.

Lucy Sterling was a brown-furred black-haired Mouse Fencer who had been summoned by the Queen herself to join on my adventure.

With a new helper against Gortez, our adventure was just beginning. As we set sail back towards Puerto Mico, I smiled and waved goodbye to my mum and dad knowing they’d be safe and sound in Marleybone.
