STATE OF THE GAMES WITH PROFESSOR FALMEA

Professor Falmea had a big State of the Games announcement for Pirates on December's KI Live show! She talked about what was coming together for 2021, so you'll want to check out the dev diary. Here's a snippet:

    "Happy holidays KI community!

    Before we all take a long winter’s nap, I wanted to reflect on this past year and all that we’ve accomplished. Each year we set goals for the game, which are our “North Stars” to guide us for the year of development.

    So, I’d like to peel back the curtain a bit to give you some insight into WHY we chose what we chose to tackle in 2021, and some light analysis on how we thought it went!"

12 DAYS OF THE SPIRAL



The kick off of the 12 Days of the Spiral week included a holiday charity livestream! It was an amazing five hours of supporting both the AbleGamers and the Creative Action charities with special guest interviews from each charity team. Congrats to the community for raising over $3,700 total for these two charities!

KI LIVE: CELEBRATING THE HOLIDAYS


We had a festive and 'Superfan' KI Live that wrapped up our 2021 shows in what has been an amazing year for the community!

We announced some exciting developments for Pirate101 that you don't want to miss, talked all about our excitement of Lemuria's launch (the new world for Wizard101!), hung out with the community in-game, and gave away some cool prizes (keep watch in January 2022 for Superfan Outfits for Pirates!).

It's always a blast hanging out with the community, so let us know what you most like about KI Lives so we can continue to make them even more fun to watch.

Adventures of the Spiral continues the story of Humble Misty Morgan with Melody’s Treasure Hunt adventure:

    “Loveable Melody wanted some extra goodies to buy Humble Misty a surprise gift for Christmas, so she decided to go treasure hunting. Not having a lot of the map open yet, Melody sailed to Corsair’s Cove to see what she could find on the island. This Captain had to go there anyway to locate Gunn’s Refuge (Treasure Hunt). Right outside the cabin, there was her first chest to open! That sure didn’t take long.” - Humble Misty

For this month’s art spotlight, we are showcasing a drawing of Mean Mocha Latte’s new Armada OC – Swan!

    “Presenting my new Armada OC - Swan! Like many pirates, I was always enchanted by Kane’s court. Swan is a mid-ranking clockwork who serves the Valencia aristocracy while controlling them through manipulation tactics.

    This is an illustration of this artist's player character. His name is Finnegan Finch, a Witchdoctor who previously hailed from Marelybone, but felt his heart belonged to the pirate life out on the skyways.

A highlight of this past month for the competitive scene was RZ's Rumble Tournament! RZ kicked off the event right after our July KI Live with a dungeon run, immediately followed by the opening match of RZ's Rumble. You can watch the coverage of the entire event on rrrrzzzz's Twitch channel.
