A Time for Thanks

October was a great month in Pirate101 as we celebrated our birthday and had a lot of fun with the Halloween season, but the anniversaries aren’t quite over yet: Pirate101’s first newsletter came out in November 2012! It’s hard to believe it’s been four years, and reading through those past newsletters, you can really see all the fun we’ve had along the way.

We’re ever grateful to our fans and players for making Pirate101 an even more exciting experience. We here at KingsIsle hope your November is filled with thankful memories as well. And don’t forget to hunt down Captain Fowl for the season! We hear Ratbeard wants some roasted Turkey. ;)

Rogue’s Gallery: Louis LeBisque

Louis LeBisque is our final “Kraken Skulls Five” companion to be featured in the Rogue’s Gallery. Up to this point, all you’ve really known about Louis is that he really loves upgrading his gun. That’s still true, but now you have a bit more insight into why that’s a fascination of his. Enjoy!

Subject: Louis LeBisque
Home: Skull Island
Weapon of Choice: Harpoon Gun
Occupation: Pirate (former fisherman)

Originally born in Valencia under the name Luigi, the pirate later known as Louis LeBisque was the son of a poor but dedicated fisherman who moved to Polaris in a bid to become an exclusive supplier of caviar to Valencia. The venture ended in tragedy when a sky whale destroyed the fisherman’s boat and left young Louis an orphan. Raised in Polaris, Louis’ childhood left him with an adopted name, outrageous accent . . . and an undying obsession with harpoon guns.

After the rise of Napoleguin Louis tried to return to Valencia, but was captured by a naval cordon at the stormgate. Imprisoned for treason, Louis spent the Napoleguinic Wars in a cell, but was finally freed after Polaris’ defeat. Louis returned to Valencia at last, but found his accent and rude ways made him unwelcome, even among the crabs. Louis drifted to Skull Island, where his affable nature and heavy firepower made it easy for him to find work on a pirate crew. Between voyages, Louis heard rumors of an expedition to recover a fabulous lost treasure. Intrigued, the crab went to the Kraken Skulls, for a meeting that would change his life forever . . . .

Hybrid Hunters: Anonymous

While no new hybrids were discovered in October, Decius did give a strange hint on the message boards last month “What lives in the Everest Mountains?” What could this cryptic message mean? Will he add more information? Join in on this thread and pitch in your two doubloons worth. We hope you find another new hybrid soon!
