Unexploding Barrels

When fighting deckside against the Marlybonians, I can't trigger the barrels to go BOOM I have tried with scattershots, bomb drops, magic -nothing works. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have had this problem too. They don't trigger as traps when the enemy walks by either. It would be nice if the Barrels exploded since they say they are breakable and have a health of 5.
