I'm getting frustrated with the Central routine. I'm not allowed to log in they want me to register. Then they tell me my screen name is already in use (ya, me!). Been playing Pirate for a week and Wizard for months, you don't recognize me by now?

Pirate 101 Central is a fan site and not connected to Pirate101 and KI. What that means is that someone else could have your Pirate101 user name since they don't check with Pirate101 as to who is using the name. Since they are a different company, of course they want you to register with them.
