Hello, my fellow pirates. Please take a seat. I hope you all are doing well? Why don't you grab a Polarian Frostie?
It's manufactured by Polar Power Polarian Foods,(quite a tounge twister,)and comes with vanilla, banana, strawberry, Pickled Herr... wha?

I'm here to discuss the next book(s) and your opinion on them. What will they be like? Will they be awesome, or boring?
I'm hoping that our next Valencian Skyway will be awesome, so the Resistance can crush it!
No, seriously, I want to know your idea. Please list you ideas. And don't be scared by my army of unicorns. They probably will hurt you if you don't leave an idea, so...

Have fun pirates, and may the combat system by in your favor!(groan!)

Thank you for your Polarian Frostie, Swashy. It's very cooling on a hot, muggy day in Skull Island.

So for Book 15, well, it's pretty clear we are going to spending some significant time in Valencia. As much as I would like the Resistance to crush the Armada in Valencia, I don't think it will happen anytime soon. I expect we will learn more about the Resistance and gain new allies. But sneaking around in enemy territory is going to be tense and dangerous, and while we may gain some strides, I suspect there may also be some severe setbacks. Perhaps even some scary betrayals. Seeing the Armada in their own country is going to be enlightening, but also increasingly intimidating. Truthfully, we'll be lucky to escape with our lives if we aren't careful!

In their home territory, we may at last see the mysterious female elite in action, and perhaps learn her name. I've got a very bad feeling about her. Taking a close look around Bishop's Lab in Beachhead, I have more bad feelings about new attacks -- from the air. There was a Da Vinci helicopter prototype there, and a strange stacked device (like a giant wedding cake) with pop out wings, both in diagramed plans and in a prototype. Ominous.

And what of the potential allies we are to contact in Valencia for information? A Rosicrucian-ish sort of society perhaps, linking benign and altruistic philosophy with alchemy and perhaps- magic? Or something else? It might be mere coincidence, but the symbol of the [historic] Rosicrucians is a 5-petaled rose and the symbol of Valencia is a rose also. On the other hand, the clockwork symbol could itself be considered a corruption of the rose symbol. Interesting, yes?

I may as well give my idea.

It is truly clear that we're meeting a Resistance member, and I'm crossing my fingers on the creator of the Clockworks. Maybe we might be able to shut them all down, but the Kane battle should be at the end.

However, the Queen is not 100% chance she'll side with the Armada. She might divorce Kane...or something.
The same applies to Phule. He might help us.

I'm hoping we can smuggle a map piece out of Valencia, but...
Smash Bishop, maybe?

Oh, I don't know, Swashy. There's been a lot of discussion about the Elites, but we should really look at what we know of them:

Phule: we've met him, but not fought him. We've seen him to act unpredictably (okay, ordering his goons to attack us was predictable, but the interview in Port Regal was highly ambiguous). The white side of his face sometimes seemed sympathetic (and we don't understand why, really), but this was before we destroyed Deacon, let alone Rooke. If Phule offered to help me, I would expect treachery. But we could be in a position where we have little choice.

The female Elite: we know nothing of her, other than a brief snapshot in the Armada puppet show, where she is seen enviably elegantly dressed (the envy is mine. I love 18th C. clothes, especially gowns and such). We do not know her name, and I doubt she is 'married' to Kane. For one thing, they are beings technically without gender. For another, Blind Mew has strongly hinted to us that Kane created his Elite corp. That would put What's-her-name on the same level with Bishop, Deacon, Rooke, and Phule.

I might speculate that as Kane practiced making elites, he got increasingly better at the task. I could see him deciding that the first things he needed was someone to gather intelligence in the Spiral and seed various plots to destabilize the worlds - Deacon, spymaster- and someone to act as his main enforcer -Rooke. Then Kane had more time to create his intellectual advisor -Bishop- and then? Why Phule? Why a female clockwork? To have a 'queen' to imitate the chessboard that Kane seems to have an affinity with? To create a clockwork that would be deliberately deceptive enabling a different kind of enforcer? She may look like a girl in a gown, but even mortal girls in gowns can be dangerous, never mind a carefully created deadly clockwork. I would respectfully suggest that petticoats do not indicate a non-combatant nor an individual with any softness whatsoever. My speculation: she, like the other Elites, is completely loyal to Kane, and furthermore is physically very, very dangerous.

x Sighs with intense satisfaction x My goodness Anne I do so love to hear you think out loud. You are So observant and your brain works in so many marvelous ways. The amount of information in your head just boggles my brain. Your intelligence coupled with your sense of fun is such a brilliant combination when you apply it to conjecture to what our Blind Mew may be up to. It's just like reading a much loved book and enjoying every page. I wish I lived close to you so I could maybe come over for tea or whatever and just sit by your knee and just let you think at me. What a wonderful day that would be. Please keep it up. I eagerly look forward to every idea you come up with.

Thank you, Chrissy! Your kindness always makes my day. And that is exactly how I feel about Pirate101: like a much loved book to read, imagine, and explore again and again!

Ah, Anne, your ideas are brilliant.

If you've played chess before, the queen is the most powerful piece on the board;but the King(Kane) controls everything. I'd watch out for Queen.

But Phule...He has two sides-white and black. If the white side overcomes the black, he could side with us. I'm crossing my fingers on that theory.

But a theory that I've looked over...that Kane is...er...not a clockwork. He could be a human and be alive. But thats only a theory.

See ya'll next time!

Thanks for the compliment, Swashy. As for your ideas, they are certainly possible. It is a good idea to keep our minds open to multiple possibilities as we do not know really what to expect. I agree, I am certainly going to watch out for the female clockwork, whether or not she is 'Queen' or not. Remember, Blind Mew has not revealed her name or function, and while being the queen on the chessboard is logical, this is the role some of the players have devised, not KI. So there are all sorts of possibilities there. I do hope however, that she is not Desdemona, as (personally) I wouldn't really like her to have a soft spot of love. I'd rather have her be a villainess of the first water, as implacable and heartless as the rest of the clockworks, no matter that she looks like a female (not to mention that females of the mortal variety can be just as villainous as males, really. We all have the capacity for both good and evil)

My character Anne would certainly like to agree with you on Phule, because he said something nice to her once. She knows better, but... hope is very powerful.

However, I believe Blind Mew at one point in time addressed the question of Kane being human and indicated that he is indeed a clockwork. And on that point, rightly or wrongly, I keep thinking of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. Doctor Frankenstein builds a monster, but the author does not seem to count that as Frankenstein's great crime (unlike the movies); rather the young doctor sees that his creation is not beautiful but rather hideous -- and runs away, abdicating responsibility. The untutored monster starts out innocent and philosophical, but has no protection or guidance while those he meets hate and fear him. His experiences twist him, and he becomes a monster -- a multiple murderer -- in truth. I wonder how (or if) this relates to Kane and his creator -- or perhaps, creators. But, we'll find out!

What fascinating observations Madame Radcliffe! Your ideas are very interesting and thought-provoking.

Phule so far is the most unpredictable of the Elites as well the most interesting. His split personality opens up so many opportunities and I dearly hope that he might go so far as to help us a wee bit. I consider Phule as a the Fool card instead as a chess piece. Being a card fits his personality better in my opinion because a card usually stays hidden until it's played unlike the rest of the court who can be seen as chess pieces, solid and ever present.

As for Her, she remains a mystery to us all. If the Inner Court can be translated as a game of chess, She would probably be the one closest to Kane and maybe even Kane's confidant. The fact that she is a fleeting shadow of a person suggests that she knows how to pull the stings like Kane and maybe be even greater than the Armada leader himself. If she is the chess Queen, that should also mean that she is Kane's greatest asset aside from maybe his Creator.

And then we have Caligsatro and the Toy Maker. How does The Toy Maker know how to defeat Kane? What does Caligastro have to do with this? Could it be that the Toy Maker created the Armada and that he has lost control of his puppets? What do you think.

Either way, I am looking forward to returning to Valencia. particularly because Blind Mew said it would be about Intrigue! I hope we could see the great Cities of Renascence Italy like Florence, Venice, And Milan and behold the magnificent Medici and notorious Borgia families.

Heres hoping our wishes get granted!
