Blocking fire? Mind=Blown

I'm not entirely sure if this is a bug or not, but, when was the last time you could block fire? The better animation would be to have a "dodge" instead, so i don't understand crabs using their bows and swords to block my mormo's fire.
P.S: We don't want to be giving kids wrong ideas. Here's a scenario i created:
(House Fire)
Pirate101Playing Kid: "I can handle this!"
(Tries to block the fire with a chopping board. Gets burned)
The End.
