Where's my horns!?

On my buccaneer, I recently received a Silver Buffaloon from pet wranglin'.
However, pre-update, Silver Buffaloon pets had horns... But they no longer have them.
What happened to their horns? Was it a bug or intentional?

Having horns might depend on how old the Pet is. I would think if horns were going to develop they should appear either while the Pet was a Teen or definitely an Adult.
