Yes, you read it correctly! What if we could actually morph for Ultra Rare mounts, by using the right combination of parent pets. It could be kind of like a pet morphing gone terribly wrong.....yet oh so right!

The idea came about when thinking about how I often feel a bit bad for players who do not have any or that much access to Crowns, and thus miss out on riding around in grand style on many of the wonderful mounts the Spiral has to offer. Only a handful are available to rent for gold, the rest are Crowns only purchases. Sooo, what if there was a super, duper, ultra rare chance of getting a mount out of a pet morphing gone amiss?

Then non-Crowns players would have an alternate (albeit very rare) chance of getting back a mount from combining the right parents. The mounts would be cosmetic only, meaning they certainly wouldn't act as our pets in joining us in battle. But....to make it interesting, these "mistakenly morphed mounts" would grant our pirates 1 power and 1 epic talent when we have them equipped. And.....just as there is programming in place to adjust the bonuses certain weapons give, in order to accommodate the class of pirate that is wielding it-- these mounts could do the same. So, if your Swashbuckler equipped a morphed mount, it could provide the SB something like Grants Reinforce and Grants Blade Storm and if you switched it to your Musketeer, it would receive Grants Valor's Fortress and Grants Overwatch (just throwing out examples). Each morphed mount could have programmed preset power/talent combos for each of the different classes.

Gryphon = Hawk x Imperial Lion (of if Eagle pet is introduced- instead of Hawk)
Clockwork Wings = Clockwork Spider x Mechanical Owl
Crokagator = Crokagator pet x Iguana
Hammerhead = Hammerhead pet x Not so Great White Shark
Pennyfarthing = Lil' Labor Golem x Clockwork Spider
Batacuda = Thresher Shark x Tropical Sky Snake
Thunderous Ki-Rin = Sabretoothed Bunny x Imperial Dragon
Transport Golem = Lil' Labor Golem x Mechanical Owl
Hunting Puma = Black Tiger x Heck Kitty
Anklyosaur (various colors) = Dinllizard x Scrimshaw Drake
Lurching Lobster = Crimson Crawlie x Golden Stingtail
Prancing Pony = Silver Buffaloon x Ram-a-lam
Lonely Buffaloon = Durango Buffaloon x Balloon Puffer
Manta Ray = Inky Octopus x Stormtiger Shark
Flying Turtle = Tawny Sky Turtle x Paper Dragon (or Hinterland Turtle)

Of, course these are just brainstorms and new pets being introduced would certainly add to the mixing of the pet parentage population. Those are just to throw out some ideas of possible parents that could lead to one of these "mistake mounts".

The mounts would have to be made extremely hard to get, but a pirate's perseverance would make it well worth the effort-- especially to players who would have great difficulty getting them with Crowns. Again, this is probably not even doable, but was just an idea I had.
