Pirate's voices

Why did KI change the voices of the female and male pirate characters? I know it came out a while ago, and I still remember finding out that my female pirate's voice had changed during a battle. But really, I don't favor it.

I think the feature is very nice but I wish you could pick what kind of voice your pirate would have.

Well the good side of this is that you can't tell the age of the pirate talking... much less species...
I don't know any people with voices like that. Are they grunting, groaning, what?

And, the pirate's age ranges from 10-16 as far as I know.

I liked the older voices; they made the player sound more mature.
