Redeeming Birthday Gift bug

Whenever I try to redeem the birthday items, it says "Item failed to redeem" I don't know what i'm doing wrong, my inventory is not full.

I try to redeem the birthday items but, It keeps saying it failed. HELP

Ahoy!

If you are having trouble claiming the items from your gift window, try logging out to the character select screen, switching characters and then switch back. This should allow you to claim the gift.
