Blat of discord way to op

I was fighting this privateer, very first round she used discord and it killed me, and i couldnt possibly prevent it since it was use first round.I think that discord shouldnt be aloud the first round.It killed me, and later the privateer picked off my companions, making me loose

Wonder how many more stories like this one we will have to hear before KingsIsle addresses the issue or lets us know that they plan to address it soon..
