getting gear a let down?

it seems that getting gear is kinda a let down me and 2 friends i quest with are about down with cool ranch and we found out that we havent got any good gear for like ever, im still rocking my lvl 10 hat and they gear thats in cool ranch shops are just a bit better then pass worlds i mean im not looking for a huge stat boost but i mean i would be nice to replace my lvl 10 hat seeing as i am lvl 23 now,( looked in the shops my hat has better stats then ones in shop)

Remember that some bosses drop rare loot along the way. Might be fun and profitable to do a couple of those encounters a second or third time.
