What happened to the "Proper" Title Screen?

I miss the old title screen to P101, where you have an overview of Skull Island. Why was it removed, did people complain that it was too long? I liked it, it game me a piratey feel to the game.

As cool as this was, it just took too long for many new Pirates to download. From the Update Notes: "The introductory cinematic has been shortened to ease the size of initial download."

I wish there was an option that we could check whether we we wanted it or not depending on our computers. I really miss that opening too, a lot.
