Halls of minos

I was just doing the dungeon halls of minos and lost to the manticores. I figured I could use my mojo potion and return but it didn't save my data. Of course this is after I used all my weeks computer-time. Also I lost to the manticore because it was a 3 to 5 fight which isn't good when all five enemies have relentless three. I was wondering if it was intentional that it didn't save your data or what?

I have this problem too, but it happened with Ophidian flame dancers and not those. It was a 6 on 4 battle.
