can anyone please tell me exactly what this totem does? I do not understand it at all and so don't know whether i want to equip it or not

It boosts any critter's (think pets and non talking companions) ability to seek out the wounded enemies and finish them off.

:D ahh the battle standard. Basically it does two things

In your territory it boosts beasts (like pets and the witchdoctor companions that dont talk) power
In the enemy territory it does the same but it also boosts dodge
