... a easter egg from the Beatles song "all the lonely people"? there both religious people who work at the church and here in the game he has a sad face so he looks lonely. just wondering.

I'm pretty sure that Father MacKenzie is a reference to the Beatle's song.

The Beatles' song is Eleanor Rigby.
And yes, the character name is from that.
