A little help please?

Well, I'm on the quest "One Good Favor..." and i'm currently on the part where I need to destroy De Monte ships, well this sounds easy enough but the ships appear green. So I can't attack them, and they can't attack me. Is this a bug? Or is it just me? I'm so confuzzled.
