Crownshop Pets

When you buy a pet in the crown shop, does it start at level one or does it start at your current level? If it starts at level one, I don't think I'm going to bother buying a pet. Thanks!

It starts at "Hatchling" ( so that's level one ). However many of the crown shop pets are worth the crowns and some are necessary to make hybrids.
