Hydra Battle Scarlet

I was doing the hydra battle and when I approached scarlet with a companion that was currently using black fog, that companion lost the ability and was attacked. Not sure if that is supposed to be happening but it really hurt my run.

I don't recall what talents scarlet had. Is it possible it has 3 ranks of first strike? There are some enemies in the second half of Valencia that had a third level epic that lets them see through hide.

Scarlet has First Strike 3 which can target hidden opponents.
